We would like to welcome you and your child to Cheddington Pre-School. This page is designed to provide some basic information about us. For more detail look at our policies section.
Cheddington Pre-school is a non - profit making charitable organisation, run by a committee of parents. We depend heavily on parent participation and support.
As an approved Early Years Education Establishment we receive funding from Bucks County Council Education Service for 3 and 4 year olds.
The Pre-school operates from one self-contained room within Cheddington Combined School and we are open from 8.50am to 2.55, Monday to Friday, during school term.
Parents have a vital role to play throughout children’s education, and especially during their Pre-School years, for this reason we actively encourage parents and carers to join us for occasional sessions at Pre-School to experience first hand their child’s learning environment through our voluntary parent help rota.
We aim wherever possible to work in excess of the statutory minimum rations (1:8) in order that the children may benefit from a greater level of one to one contact with our staff. The majority of our staff are professionally qualified and on every session at least 50% will be fully trained. We are delighted currently to be able to offer a 1:5 rate of staff to children
